Umrah kits that bring together ihram, belt, slippers and unscented care in one box. Prepare fully for your journey with men's, women's, couple, children's and economy options.
Umrah Kits: From Ihram to Unscented Care, Ready in One Box
As you prepare for Umrah, the list grows quickly: ihram, belt, slippers, unscented soap and shampoo, neck pouch, prayer mat, plug adapter… Hunting for these items one by one takes time and often means a missing piece is only noticed a few days before departure. RotaNur Umrah kits are put together based on the items our customers actually use on our Umrah tours. Each kit brings together products that suit the requirements of worship, take up no unnecessary space in your suitcase and are ready to use straight out of the box. In this guide you can compare the men's, women's, couple's, children's and economy kits, and find the points to consider when choosing the right kit for you, along with the essentials about ihram.
What is an Umrah kit and what does it include?
An Umrah kit brings together, in a single package, the essential items you need from entering ihram to the daily rhythm of worship in Makkah and Madinah. At the heart of the men's kits is a seamless two-piece ihram; since there is no special ihram garment for women, the women's kits centre on a practical, modest prayer dress and an under-scarf cap. In both cases, as fragrance must not be used while in ihram, unscented care products are an indispensable part of the kit. In a well-prepared kit the items complement one another: the belt holds the ihram in place while carrying your documents, the slippers ease your feet on long walks, and the unscented products make it easier to observe the restrictions of ihram.
Ihram or clothing: For men, a two-piece ihram in towel-textured cotton or a bamboo blend; for women, a practical zipped, hooded prayer dress.
Ihram belt: An adjustable belt that secures the wrap at the waist, with zipped pockets for your passport, phone and spending money.
Slippers or sandals: Lightweight, with a non-slip sole and, for men, a design that leaves the top of the foot uncovered.
Unscented care: Soap, shampoo, wet wipes, moisturiser and sunscreen with no added perfume or fragrance essences.

7 criteria to consider when choosing an Umrah kit
Fabric and weight: For an ihram, the gram weight describes the heaviness and texture of the fabric. The 1,100–1,250 g range is well balanced for most seasons; 1,350 g and bamboo-blend fabrics give a fuller, softer feel. In very hot months you may prefer a lighter ihram, and in cooler months a fuller one.
Unscented contents: Make sure the soap, shampoo and creams in the kit are genuinely fragrance-free. The label should not mention essence, perfume or aroma.
Slipper design: For men, choose a lightweight model with a non-slip sole that leaves the raised bone on the top of the foot uncovered. Try the size on at home.
Belt practicality: A belt with zipped pockets and an adjustable length that holds the ihram without letting it slip lets you carry your documents safely in the crowds.
Liquid sizes: If you will carry them in your cabin baggage, make sure the bottles are 100 ml or less and fit into a clear bag.
Total weight: Check the weight of the kit so that you do not strain your baggage allowance, and leave room for gifts on the way back.
Number of travellers and budget: If you are travelling with your spouse, consider the couple's kit; if you are travelling with your child, consider the children's kit. A bundle price is often better value than buying the items separately.
Ihram for men: the basics according to Diyanet (Türkiye's Presidency of Religious Affairs)
According to Diyanet's Hajj and Umrah publications, men entering ihram remove their sewn clothing and wrap themselves in two pieces of cloth known as the izar and the rida. The izar covers the body from the waist down, while the rida covers the shoulders and back. White, clean cloths are preferred. Men in ihram do not cover their heads; instead of shoes, they wear slippers or sandals that leave the raised bone on the top of the foot uncovered. Using a belt to secure the ihram and carry belongings is common. The ihram cloths in our kits are not garments tailored to the shape of the body; they are simply flat sheets with finished edges to prevent fraying. For detailed rulings and special circumstances, we recommend consulting your group's religious guide and reading our Umrah guide.
Umrah clothing for women
There is no specially tailored ihram garment for women. According to Diyanet's guidance, women enter ihram in their usual modest clothing, covering their hair and leaving their faces uncovered. That is why our women's kits include a loose-fitting, non-iron, zipped one-piece prayer dress with an attached headscarf, together with a cotton under-scarf cap that keeps the hair neatly in place. Light-coloured, lightweight fabrics that reduce sweating on long walks are the best choice. For everyday outfits and different cuts, you can also browse our Umrah clothing category.
Why does unscented care matter so much?
Avoiding fragrance is one of the foremost restrictions of ihram. Diyanet's guidance states that a person in ihram must not apply fragrance to the body or to the ihram cloth, and advises avoiding scented soaps and shampoos as well. The problem is that almost all the products we use in daily life contain perfume. Hotel soaps, wet wipes and even some sunscreens are scented. The unscented products in our kits are made without added perfume or fragrance essences; once you have packed them in your suitcase before entering ihram, you will not have to wonder which products you can use at the hotel. If you would rather choose products individually, you can browse the unscented care products category. For fragrances and attars to use once you have come out of ihram, see our musk and oud attars category.
Usage and care tips
Open the kit at least a week before your journey, check all the items and try the slippers on at home.
Before first use, wash the ihram cloths once with water only or with an unscented detergent; the towel texture softens with every wash.
Machine-wash the ihram at 30–40 degrees without fabric softener; softeners are usually scented.
At the hotel, dry the cloths in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. If you have a spare ihram, you can wear one while the other dries.
Keep the unscented products in your toiletry bag, separate from scented ones; mixing them up increases the risk of making a mistake while in ihram.
Keep a photocopy of your passport, your hotel card and an emergency number in the belt pockets.
After you return, wash the ihram cloths and store them in a dry place; they can be used again on your next Umrah.
Common mistakes
Using scented wet wipes: The wipes handed out on planes or in hotels are mostly scented. Keep the unscented wipes from your kit within easy reach.
Setting off in brand-new slippers: Slippers that have never been worn can rub your feet in the first few days. Get used to them by wearing them at home for a few days.
Leaving the ihram until the last day: The ihram is often put on before boarding the plane or before reaching the miqat boundary. Ask your group official at which stage you will enter ihram, and keep your ihram in your hand luggage.
A long stay with a single ihram: On programmes longer than ten days, a spare ihram is a lifesaver.
Fastening the belt too tightly: The belt should hold the wrap in place without pressing on your waist. Being able to breathe comfortably during long tawafs is important.
Packing large bottles in the cabin: Liquids over 100 ml may be taken away at the security check. The bottles in our kits stay within this limit.
Leaving no room for gifts on the way home: Keep part of your suitcase empty; you can also order in advance from our Umrah gifts page and receive your order at home.
Choosing a kit by season
In Makkah and Madinah, temperatures climb very high in the summer months; in winter the days are mild, while the nights and the air-conditioned interiors of the mosques can be cool. If you are setting off in summer, quick-drying ihrams in the 1,100–1,250 g range and a care kit that includes sunscreen are the ones to go for. In cooler months, the fuller texture of a 1,350 g bamboo-blend ihram can be more comfortable. During busy periods such as Ramadan and the mid-year school holidays, tawaf and sa'i take longer, so supporting items such as soft-soled slippers and a backpack become more important. For female travellers, light-coloured, lightweight and loose-fitting dresses are comfortable in every season; a thin cardigan for cool evenings is all you need to add.
Packing your suitcase: where should each part of the kit go?
Hand luggage: Keep the ihram cloths, belt, slippers and the unscented products in their clear bag in your hand luggage. That way you will not have to wait for your suitcase when it is time to enter ihram.
Large suitcase: A spare ihram, a second dress, the prayer mat and the prayer booklet can go in your large suitcase.
Neck pouch: Always keep your passport, visa printout, hotel card and emergency numbers on you.
Separate bags: Put scented products (perfume, attar, cologne) in a separate bag to use after you come out of ihram, and do not open it while you are in ihram.
Room for the return: Leave a quarter of your suitcase empty; this makes room for gifts and personal shopping.
Giving an Umrah kit as a gift
Giving a preparation kit to a loved one who is about to perform Umrah is a graceful way to share in the spiritual excitement of the journey. When giving it as a gift, all you need to find out in advance is the recipient's gender, slipper size and clothing preference. As our kits are shipped in RotaNur-branded boxes, there is no need for extra wrapping. By writing the recipient's name and address in the order note, you can have the kit delivered directly to them. If the shoe size or clothing size does not fit, an exchange can be made within 14 days, provided the product is unused and its packaging is unopened. For welcoming loved ones home from Umrah, or for small keepsakes they can hand out to their own family and friends, take a look at our Umrah gifts category.

FAQ
If you are going on Umrah for the first time, buying a kit both saves time and reduces the risk of missing items. The bundle price is often better value than the total of the individual items. If you have performed Umrah before and already have an ihram or slippers, completing just the missing items from the relevant categories may be enough.
There is no special ihram garment for women; usual modest clothing is worn and the face is left uncovered. Our Women's Umrah Kit includes a practical prayer dress, an under-scarf cap, slippers, unscented care products and a neck pouch.
The care products in our kits are made without added perfume or fragrance essences, and this is stated on their labels. The raw ingredients may have a very faint scent of their own; this does not mean that perfume has been added.
The gram weight refers to the combined weight of the two cloths and gives you an idea of how full the fabric is. 1,100–1,250 g is well balanced for most times of the year. If you want a softer, fuller feel, you can opt for the 1,350 g bamboo-blend ihram.
For unused products with unopened packaging, you can request a return or exchange within 14 days. To change a shoe size or clothing size, simply message us on our WhatsApp line.
The liquid products in our kits come in bottles of 100 ml or less and fit into a clear bag. Even so, as airline and airport rules can change, we recommend checking the current rules before you travel.
Orders are sent by fast shipping, and delivery is free on purchases over a certain amount. If your travel date is close, write it in the order note or let us know via our WhatsApp line; we will do our best to prioritise your order.
No online payment is taken. After you send your order request, our advisor contacts you, confirms availability and guides you through the payment steps. For corporate or bulk orders, you can reach us through our contact page for the payment details.
The rulings on a child's Umrah and ihram may be assessed differently depending on age and circumstances. We offer a Children's Umrah Kit for boys; for girls, comfortable modest clothing is sufficient. For details, we recommend consulting your group's religious guide.
No. RotaNur does not sell Zamzam water. Saudi Arabia does not permit the sale of Zamzam water for commercial purposes, and there have been cases of counterfeit Zamzam on the market. Zamzam is a keepsake that travellers bring back themselves, within their own baggage allowance and the airline's rules.
Many travellers put on the ihram at home or at the airport and make their intention (niyyah) before reaching the miqat boundary. Your group official will let you know the most suitable time for your programme. Either way, keeping your ihram and unscented products in your hand luggage makes things easier.
Yes. If you let us know the number of people, the kit type and the delivery date through our contact page or WhatsApp line, we will prepare a bulk price quote tailored to you. For bulk orders, simply send us the slipper sizes and dress sizes as a list.
Of course. Once washed and stored, the ihram cloths can be used again on your future Umrah or Hajj journeys. The prayer dress, prayer mat, neck pouch and backpack are also useful in everyday life. As for the unscented care products, you can use them whenever you like, keeping an eye on their expiry dates.
Our kits are prepared with standard contents. If you would like a different ihram weight, slipper model or additional products, you can add them to the same order from the relevant categories. For special combination requests, message us; we will check availability and get back to you.
