Economy, walking-distance, luxury and premium Umrah tours in one list: compare duration, departure city, room type and date to choose the Umrah package that suits you.
Umrah Tours Selection Guide: Compare Packages and Find the Right Date
The Umrah tours category brings together every Umrah package on sale at RotaNur on a single page. In the cards above you can see each package's duration, accommodation approach, starting price and key services, and by clicking a card you can move on to choosing a date and room type. This guide is designed to help you read the cards correctly, compare the packages with one another and find the Umrah programme that best suits your needs in a few steps.
At first glance, Umrah packages look alike: they all include return flights, hotels, transfers, guidance and visa processing. The real difference lies in the details. How far the hotel is from the Haram, how many nights are spent in Makkah and Madinah, which city the programme starts in, how many people share a room and which city the flight departs from determine both the comfort of your journey and the amount you will pay. The sections below cover these differences one by one; by the end, only the choice of date will be left on your mind.
Which Umrah Packages Are in This Category?
Our Umrah tours are grouped into six package families. Each family is offered in different durations, so you can choose the accommodation approach you like with a shorter or longer programme. The table shows the general framework of the packages; hotel names, flight times and current prices are given on each tour's own page.

The Accommodation Difference: What Does Distance to the Haram Change?
The biggest source of the price difference between packages is the distance of the hotel in Makkah from the Haram (Masjid al-Haram). In Madinah, most hotels are clustered around the Prophet's Mosque, so the difference there is smaller. Distance has a direct effect on your daily worship routine:
Hotels with a shuttle service (2.5–4 km): You travel to the Haram on the hotel's shuttle vehicles. You need to plan around the shuttle times; on the other hand, the hotel rooms are often more spacious and this is the most budget-friendly option.
Walking distance (300–500 m): You walk to and from the daily prayers. It is easier to return to the hotel and rest during the day, and it is also less tiring for elderly relatives.
Close distance (200–300 m): Even at busy times, the Haram is only a few minutes away. On short programmes, this is the option that makes the most efficient use of your time.
Closest accommodation (50–100 m): These are the hotels closest to the gates of the Haram. They are a great convenience for night worship, the dawn prayer and Fridays, when the crowds are at their heaviest.
When assessing distance, we recommend looking not only at the number of metres but also at the gradient of the route between the hotel and the Haram, the flow of pedestrians at busy times and your own walking pace. If you cannot decide, our advisors will suggest the option that suits you, taking into account the age and health of the travellers.
What Is a Day on an Umrah Tour Like?
The daily prayers form the backbone of the programme. In Makkah, days usually begin with the dawn prayer at the Haram; after breakfast comes a guided visit or free time for worship, the midday heat is spent resting at the hotel, and the time between the afternoon and night prayers is spent at the Haram once again. The Umrah itself is performed together as a group, accompanied by the guide, after arrival. In Madinah the pace is calmer: prayers at the Prophet's Mosque, the appointment times booked for visiting the Rawdah and visits to the blessed sites of the city shape the day. The journey between Makkah and Madinah is made by coach, or on some dates by high-speed train; this day is planned as a transfer day in the programme. How close your accommodation is to the Haram determines how much time is left for rest within this routine.
How to Read the Product Cards and the Tour Page
The cards on the category page are designed for quick comparison. When you move from a card to the tour page, you will see the same information in more detail:
Starting price: The price shown on the card is the per-person price for that package's most affordable room type. The struck-through price is the list price, and the amount below it is the discounted sale price.
Key services: The short points at the bottom of the card summarise the features that set the package apart from the others, such as hotel distance, hotel class, flights and visa.
MOST POPULAR badge: This marks the package that stands out for its balance of price and comfort; it is a good starting point if you are finding it hard to decide.
Date table: On the tour page, departure and return dates, the number of days, the departure city, the programme direction and prices by room type are listed in a single table.
Remaining places: Dates with only a few places left are shown with a "Last places" warning; fully booked dates cannot be selected in the calendar.
Choosing a Room Type: Double, Triple and Quad Rooms
On Umrah packages, prices are calculated per person, and the per-person price falls as the number of people in the room rises. Economy, long-stay and Ramadan packages offer double, triple and quad rooms side by side. A quad room is the most advantageous option for families and groups of friends who want to keep to a budget. A triple room is a balanced choice favoured by a couple with an adult child or by three close friends. A double room is the most comfortable option for married couples and guests who want more privacy; its per-person price is higher than the others.
On walking-distance, luxury and premium packages, however, most departures are planned with double-room arrangements; on some dates a triple room can also be chosen. If you are travelling alone, you can ask our advisor before booking whether it is possible to place you in a room with another guest of the same gender. Having rooms allocated according to your family arrangement depends on you providing complete traveller details when you book.
Madinah First or Makkah First?
The date table on the tour page shows the programme direction for each departure. On Madinah → Makkah programmes, the journey begins in Madinah; after a few days of worship and visits at the Prophet's Mosque, you enter ihram on the way to Makkah and perform Umrah. This arrangement is ideal for those who want to shake off the fatigue of travel in Madinah and begin their Umrah feeling fresher.
On Makkah → Madinah programmes, by contrast, Umrah is performed in the first days; in this case ihram is entered before boarding the plane, or on board before the miqat boundary is crossed. Those who want to perform their Umrah as soon as possible choose this direction, and the final days of the journey are spent in the calm atmosphere of Madinah. On some dates there are also flights connecting via Istanbul and different return points. Whichever direction you choose, the ihram and Umrah steps are explained in detail in the briefing before departure.
Choosing the Right Programme by Duration
The package duration determines the pace of worship and your leave plans. The table below summarises which duration suits whom:
Duration
Who is it for?
What to bear in mind
4 days
Working people who want to perform Umrah on short leave
The Madinah visit is kept short; choosing a walking-distance or nearby hotel makes the best use of your time
7 days
Those with a week's leave, first-time travellers
Enough for Umrah and the main visits; limited time for additional Umrahs and worship
10–12 days
Those travelling with family who want a balanced programme
The most popular duration range; places fill up early
15–16 days
Those who want to stay in Makkah and Madinah without rushing
Suitable for more than one Umrah and an extensive visit programme
20–23 days
Retirees, those who want to devote plenty of time to worship
Plan your luggage, medication and daily needs according to the duration
33 days
Those who want to spend the whole of Ramadan in the holy lands
Physical preparation is needed for the suhoor, iftar and tarawih routine
Within the same package family, the total price rises as the duration increases, but the cost per day often falls. On long programmes the economy packages give the best value, while on short programmes hotels close to the Haram make the most of your time.
Departure City and Connecting Flights
Most of our Umrah tours depart from Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gokcen Airport. There are also direct or connecting departures from Ankara, Antalya, Konya, Izmir, Denizli, Corum, Gaziantep, Samsun and many other cities. By checking the departure city column in the table on the tour page, you can see on which dates there are flights from your own city; for a detailed list by city, see our Umrah departure cities page.
If there is no departure from your city on the date you want, joining a programme departing from Istanbul is usually the most practical solution. In that case, we recommend planning your domestic connection so that there is enough time between it and the tour flight.
Group Arrangements and Guidance
Another difference between the packages is group size. Groups are planned with up to 45 people on the economy and walking-distance packages, up to 40 people on the luxury packages and as small groups of 25 on the premium package. The smaller the group, the faster the transfers, the shorter the waits at the places you visit and the easier it is to communicate with your guide.
On all packages, the guide accompanying your group explains the Umrah steps in practice and leads the visits in Makkah and Madinah. Radio headsets are used so that you can hear the guide clearly in crowded areas. The preparation seminar held before the journey lets you learn about topics such as ihram, tawaf and sa'i while you are still at home; for first-time Umrah travellers, this seminar is one of the most valuable parts of the journey.
Additional Umrah and Visit Programmes
On many of our packages, after the first Umrah, transport to the miqat point is provided within the programme for a second and a third Umrah; on the economy and walking-distance packages this also covers a fourth Umrah. For an additional Umrah, ihram is usually entered at Ji'ranah or Tan'im; the place and time are set by your guide according to the group programme. Sites such as Mount Thawr and Mount Nur, Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina in Makkah, and Quba Mosque, Uhud and Masjid al-Qiblatayn in Madinah are also visited as part of the programme. The full visit list is given in the day-by-day programme on the tour page.
Date, Availability and Price Updates
The dates on the tour pages are refreshed every day according to up-to-date data from our supplier. For this reason, only future departures that are not fully booked can be selected in the booking calendar. A few important details:
Because Umrah prices depend on exchange rates and flight costs, they may change from time to time; the price you see at the time of booking is the one that applies.
Some departures whose price has not yet been finalised carry the "(estimated)" label; the final price for these dates is confirmed with our advisor.
Departures during Ramadan, the semester break and the holy nights (Kandil) fill up quickly; deciding early for these periods gives you an advantage in both availability and price.
Flight times and hotel names are sent to you separately once they are confirmed.
Which Package for Which Period in the 2026–2027 Season?
The Umrah season opens after Hajj and runs until preparations for the next Hajj begin. In this season, departures are roughly spread as follows:
September–November 2026: Months when the heat eases and the crowds are relatively calm. There is a wide choice of dates on the walking-distance and economy packages.
December 2026–January 2027: A busy period in which the three holy months begin and the mid-year school holiday falls. Kandil Umrah and semester-break Umrah departures are concentrated in this period.
February–March 2027: The Ramadan period. The full Ramadan Umrah and departures that coincide with the last days of Ramadan are the most sought-after programmes.
Pre-Hajj period: Once Hajj preparations begin, new Umrah departures pause for a while; Umrah resumes after Hajj.
What the Package Price Includes and What You Need to Plan Separately
The scope of each package is set out in detail on the tour page. In general, the price includes:
Return flights and airport transfers
Hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, with open-buffet breakfast and dinner
Intercity transfers and guided visits
Umrah visa processing, travel health insurance and a pre-Umrah preparation seminar
When preparing your budget, you also need to allow separately for the following items:
Lunches outside the programme and extra refreshments
Gift shopping and personal expenses
Personal travel costs such as passport fees and a domestic connecting flight
Umrah items: you can get essentials such as ihram, unscented care products and tawaf socks from our Umrah items page
Which Umrah Package Suits Whom? Example Scenarios
A couple going on Umrah for the first time: The 10-day walking-distance package offers easy access to the Haram and a balanced Madinah programme.
A family travelling with their parents: For elderly relatives, walking-distance or luxury packages that remove the need to wait for a shuttle stand out; for a large family, the triple and quad rooms on the economy packages balance the budget.
Working people with short leave: The 4- or 7-day walking-distance or luxury packages let you complete your Umrah in full within limited time.
A large, budget-focused group: The 15-day economy package with a quad room combines a long stay with an affordable cost.
Retired guests: The 20-day economy Umrah or the 23-day long-stay Umrah gives you the chance to devote time to worship without rushing.
Those who want the accommodation closest to the Kaaba: Premium Umrah, with its small-group arrangement, offers the calmest and most comfortable experience.

Common Mistakes When Choosing an Umrah Tour
Looking only at the price: Not factoring in the daily travel time from a hotel with a shuttle service can reduce the time left for worship on short programmes.
Checking passport validity too late: Check your passport's validity before booking and confirm the current requirements with our advisor.
Leaving busy periods to the last minute: Ramadan and semester-break departures fill up in a short time.
Not clarifying the room arrangement: If you want to stay in the same room as your family and relatives, say so when you book.
Putting off health preparations: Consult your doctor before the journey about vaccinations and medication for chronic conditions.
The amount shown on the card is the most affordable per-person price in that package's date table. On economy packages this is usually the quad-room price; on walking-distance, luxury and premium packages it is mostly based on the double-room price. Prices for all room types are listed in the date table on the tour page.
On economy packages, the hotel in Makkah is 2.5–4 kilometres from the Haram and transport is provided by hotel shuttles. On walking-distance packages, the hotel is 300–500 metres from the Haram, so you can walk to and from the daily prayers. In Madinah, both packages offer accommodation within walking distance of the Prophet's Mosque.
Both are sound choices. On programmes that start in Madinah, you move on to Umrah once you have recovered from the journey. On programmes that start in Makkah, Umrah is performed in the first days and the journey ends in the calm atmosphere of Madinah. The programme direction for each date is also shown separately in the table on the tour page.
The premium Umrah programme is run with accommodation in 5-star deluxe hotels 50–100 metres from the Haram and in small groups of 25 people. The small-group arrangement makes for a calmer and more comfortable experience during visits and transfers.
On luxury and premium Umrah packages, flights are operated by Turkish Airlines. Other airlines may be used on the other packages; the flight details for each departure are sent to you separately after booking.
Because the room price is divided by the number of people staying in it, the per-person price rises as the number of people falls. A double room offers more privacy and comfort; if you want to keep to a budget, you can choose a triple or quad room instead.
Programmes departing from Istanbul offer the widest choice of dates; you can join them with a domestic connecting flight from your city to Istanbul. For alternative dates and cities, you can get support from our advisors, who are available 24/7.
Yes. Umrah consists of ihram, tawaf, sa'i and cutting or shaving the hair, and depending on the crowds it can be completed within a few hours. Four-day programmes are planned with hotels close to the Haram so that people with limited leave can perform their Umrah in full; the Madinah visit is kept short on these programmes.
This programme is designed for those who want to stay in the holy lands from the beginning of Ramadan until Eid. Fasting, tarawih prayers, Qur'an recitation (muqabala) and Laylat al-Qadr are spent in Makkah and Madinah; the duration is planned to cover the whole of Ramadan.
The cost of Umrah packages depends on exchange rates, flight prices and hotel occupancy. Prices on the tour pages are updated regularly based on supplier data; the price you see at the time of booking is the one that applies.
This label appears on departures whose price has not yet been finalised and indicates a well-founded estimate. When you choose one of these dates, the final price is confirmed by our advisor and communicated to you.
Change and cancellation terms vary according to how long before the departure date the request is made. You can find detailed information on our cancellation and refund terms page, and our advisors are available 24/7 for your particular circumstances.
