How to Use
- Before you set off, check the contents of the set and try the slippers on at home.
- Before first use, wash the ihram sheets with water only or with unscented detergent.
- Before entering ihram, wash using unscented products, then wrap the izar around your waist and secure it with the belt.
- Drape the rida over your shoulders, and use only unscented products for as long as you remain in ihram.
- When you return, wash and dry the ihram and store it in its box.
Use During Umrah and Hajj
While in ihram, men do not wear sewn clothing; instead they wear the ihram, made of two unstitched sheets, keep their heads uncovered and choose slippers or sandals that leave the upper part of the foot exposed. Women, on the other hand, enter ihram in their usual modest clothing and do not cover their faces or hands. An ihram belt or waist bag may be used to secure the ihram and to carry items such as money and a phone. Since applying scent is prohibited while in ihram, make sure your care products are unscented. Are the ihram sheets seamless?
Yes. The ihram consists of two flat sheets whose edges are finished to prevent fraying; it is not a garment tailored to the shape of the body. According to the statements of Diyanet (Türkiye’s Presidency of Religious Affairs), men wrap themselves in these two sheets while in ihram.
Can I exchange the slippers if they don’t fit?

Does wearing a belt count among the prohibitions of ihram?
Using a belt to secure the ihram and carry belongings is common and is generally not counted among the prohibitions of ihram. If you are in doubt, you can ask your group’s religious guide.
Should I buy a spare ihram?
The set includes one ihram. If your trip lasts more than ten days or you plan to perform more than one Umrah, we recommend adding a second ihram separately.
How many times can the ihram sheets be washed?
Towel-textured cotton ihram can be used for a long time when washed at 30–40°C without fabric softener. The fabric becomes softer with every wash; if you clean it when you return and store it in a dry place, you can use it on your future Umrah journeys as well.
