The walking-distance package uses 4-5 star hotels in Makkah from which you can also reach the Haram on foot; guests who want to make the daily prayers without waiting for a shuttle choose this class.

On the luxury Umrah package you fly with Turkish Airlines and stay in 5-star hotels 200-300 metres from the Haram, with the visa and fees included in the price. For those seeking the highest level of comfort, the premium Umrah programme is organised in 5-star deluxe hotels 50-100 metres from the Haram, with small groups of 25 people. The flow in the table is based on a departure that starts in Madinah. On dates that start in Makkah the order is reversed: Umrah is performed on the first day, the programme ends in Madinah and the return flight usually departs from Madinah. You can see which route suits you in the route column of the date table; the exact programme and times are sent to you in writing after booking.

On a ten-day schedule, what we pay most attention to is the pace. A half day of rest is always left after visiting days, so long walks and crowded tawafs don’t leave you worn out for the final days of the programme.

The obligatory (fard) acts of Umrah are ihram and tawaf, while its necessary (wajib) acts are sa’i and shaving or shortening the hair. The intention is made and the talbiyah recited at the miqat; at Masjid al-Haram the Kaaba is circled seven times in tawaf, two rak’ahs of prayer are performed behind Maqam Ibrahim, then sa’i is performed between Safa and Marwah, and ihram is ended with the shave. Planning Ihram and the Miqat

On programmes that start in Madinah, ihram is entered at the Dhul-Hulayfah miqat on the way from Madinah to Makkah; on programmes that start in Makkah, the intention is made during the flight before reaching the level of the miqat. Because the day of this transfer is known in advance on a ten-day journey, our guide goes over the rules and prohibitions of ihram and the talbiyah with the group the evening before. We recommend that male guests carry their ihram in their hand luggage and that female guests keep comfortable, modest clothing ready.

Tawaf, Sa’i and Voluntary Worship

Once Umrah has been performed, the remaining days in Makkah are devoted to voluntary worship. Tawafs performed late at night and in the mid-morning (duha) hours, when the crowds are relatively thinner, are calmer. As the Hijri calendar moves forward by about 10-11 days each year, the months in which Ramadan and the holy nights (kandil) fall also change every year; Ramadan 2027 falls in February-March, while the 2026-27 holy nights fall in the winter months.
