Private Hajj 2027: Prices and Package Details

Compare economy, luxury and premium packages on private Hajj programmes run through authorised agencies within the framework of Diyanet (Türkiye's Presidency of Religious Affairs) regulations, and review the details of accommodation, Arafat-Mina arrangements and guidance.

Private Hajj means performing the Hajj through travel agencies authorised to organise Hajj, within the procedures and principles set by Diyanet (Türkiye's Presidency of Religious Affairs). The rites are the same; the difference lies in the accommodation class, group structure, transport arrangements and scope of services.

The conditions for registration, eligibility to participate and documents are published each year in official announcements. That is why the first step in planning a private Hajj is to confirm that year's current requirements in Diyanet's announcements. RotaNur consultants carry out this check together with you.

What Is Included in Our Private Hajj Packages?

Private Hajj means fulfilling the Hajj through travel agencies authorised to organise Hajj, in line with the procedures and principles set by Diyanet (Türkiye’s Presidency of Religious Affairs). The form and days of worship are the same on every programme; what differs between RotaNur’s private Hajj packages is the hotel location, room layout, tent category, transport and group size. All our packages include the core services you need to focus on your worship:

  • A programme built around the days of the rites; from Tarwiyah to the end of the days of Tashreeq
  • Accommodation in Makkah and Madinah; hotel details for each package class are given on the product page and in the contract
  • Arafat and Mina arrangements; different tent categories depending on the package class
  • Transfers and transport between the holy sites; airport, intercity and Mashair journeys according to the organisation plan
  • Guidance from an experienced religious guide; at every stage, from ihram to the farewell tawaf
  • Hajj training and briefing; the rites, the prohibitions of ihram and the packing list are explained before the journey
  • 24/7 support line; uninterrupted contact before and during the journey

You can get everything you need, such as ihram, an ihram belt, a prayer mat, a pebble pouch and a Zamzam water container, from a single place in our Hajj essentials category before you set off. The full scope of each package is set out in detail on the relevant product page.

Private Hajj Packages Compared

The table below shows our private Hajj packages side by side in terms of key services and starting price per person. Prices are pulled automatically from the product pages and may vary depending on the room layout and period you choose.

PackageHighlightsPrice per person
Luxury Hajj Tour5-star hotel, Close to the Haram, Full board560,000 ₺
Economy Hajj TourPrivate programme, Accommodation, Guidance300,000 ₺
Premium Hajj TourClosest to the Kaaba, Premium tent, High-speed train1,133,499 ₺ 850,000 ₺

When choosing the right package, your health and walking pace matter as much as your budget. The economy Hajj package stands out for those who want to use their budget wisely, the luxury Hajj package for those looking for a five-star hotel and full board, and the premium Hajj package for those who want accommodation closest to the Kaaba and a boutique group setting.

For elderly guests, a hotel close to the Haram noticeably reduces daily fatigue, while younger pilgrims who are used to walking can also be comfortable with a budget-focused package. Our consultants listen to your needs and help you make your decision.

How Is Private Hajj Performed?

Hajj is an act of worship performed on specific days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah at Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina and Makkah. Most pilgrims travelling from Türkiye perform Hajj al-Tamattu: during the months of Hajj, Umrah is performed first, pilgrims leave the state of ihram, and on the day of Tarwiyah they enter ihram again for Hajj. On the private Hajj programme, the rites are carried out in this same order under the supervision of our guide.

The Obligatory and Necessary Acts of Hajj

The obligatory (fard) acts of Hajj are ihram, the standing at Arafat and Tawaf al-Ifadah. The standing at Muzdalifah, the stoning of the Jamarat, sa’i, shaving and, for those coming from outside Makkah, the farewell tawaf are counted among the necessary (wajib) acts. For those performing Hajj al-Tamattu or Hajj al-Qiran, the sacrifice of thanksgiving is also necessary. The details of these rulings may differ between schools of jurisprudence; our guides follow the religious guidance (ilmihal) published by Diyanet.

The Order of Hajj al-Tamattu

In Hajj al-Tamattu, the pilgrim enters Makkah with the intention of Umrah, performs tawaf and sa’i, and leaves ihram by shaving. Until the day of Tarwiyah the pilgrim returns to normal life and spends this time in voluntary tawaf and prayer. On 8 Dhul-Hijjah the pilgrim enters ihram for Hajj and completes the Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina stages. Our guide explains in advance the intention, supplications and points to watch at each stage.

Private Hajj Prices 2027

Our private Hajj packages start from 300,000 ₺ per person. This amount applies to RotaNur packages; the fees Diyanet announces for its own organisation are separate and should be followed through official announcements. The main factors that determine the price are the hotel’s distance from Masjid al-Haram, room layout, tent category at Arafat and Mina, mode of transport and group size. Current per-person prices:

Personal expenses, optional purchases and services not listed in the contract are not included in the package. Whether items such as the cost of the sacrifice are included is clearly stated on the product page and in the contract. In keeping with our transparent pricing approach, you know the amount you will pay from the start. No online payment is taken. After you submit your reservation request, our advisor contacts you, confirms the programme and availability, and guides you through the payment steps.

When Is Private Hajj Performed? Preparation and Rites Periods

Unlike Umrah, Hajj can only be performed on specific days of the year. Because it follows the Hijri calendar, the days of Hajj move forward by about 10-11 days each year in the Gregorian calendar. Registration and document dates, meanwhile, are announced separately each year by Diyanet.

Accommodation in Makkah and Madinah

Accommodation is the most important factor that sets private Hajj programmes apart. During the Hajj season, Makkah hosts millions of people from all over the world. The hotel’s distance from Masjid al-Haram directly affects your ability to reach the five daily prayers, your night worship and your rest time. Accommodation options differ according to your package class; hotel details for each package are given on the product page and in the contract. For general information, see our Makkah hotels page.

At Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, known as the Mashair (holy sites), accommodation is in tents; the placement of the tents is determined by the regulations of the competent authorities. The tent category, meal arrangements and space per person may vary depending on the package class. In Madinah, staying in hotels close to the Prophet’s Mosque makes it easier to visit the Rawdah and attend the daily prayers.

Airport Welcome, Transfers and Guidance

From the moment you land, our guide welcomes you and helps you settle into your hotel. The journey between Makkah and Madinah and transport between the holy sites are arranged according to the organisation plan. During the days of Hajj, transport depends on the times and routes set by the competent authorities, so sticking to the meeting times given by the guide is extremely important.

The most valuable part of our programmes is our experienced religious guides. Our guide explains every stage in advance, from the intention of ihram to the farewell tawaf, and plans with the group the order of supplication and standing at Arafat, the collection of pebbles at Muzdalifah and the stoning times at Mina. The guide holds regular briefings to keep communication within the group strong and sets clear meeting points to reduce the risk of getting lost in the crowds.

Places to Visit in Makkah and Madinah

Minarets and courtyard of the Prophet's Mosque, Madinah

Outside the days of Hajj, historical sites in Makkah such as Jabal al-Nour (the Cave of Hira) and Jabal Thawr are visited with our guide. Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, on the other hand, are the places where the worship itself is performed during the days of Hajj. In Madinah, the Prophet’s Mosque, the Rawdah, Jannat al-Baqi, the Uhud Martyrs’ Cemetery, Quba Mosque and Masjid al-Qiblatayn are key stops on the programme.

The order and length of the visits are planned according to the intensity of the days of Hajj and how tired the group is. At every stop, our guide shares the history and spiritual significance of the place. The days spent in Madinah are a part of the journey that rests the heart after the intensity of the days of Hajj and lets you spend peaceful time in the city of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him).

What You Need to Know Before You Travel

  • Official requirements: confirm the registration and participation conditions in the latest announcements from Diyanet.
  • Passport: make sure its validity meets the period required in the official announcement.
  • Visa: the process is carried out as part of the organisation; the visa decision rests with the competent authorities.
  • Vaccinations and health: get the vaccinations required for Hajj in good time; take your medication with you together with the prescriptions.
  • Clothing: an ihram set for men, comfortable modest clothing for women; slippers that are easy to take off.
  • Luggage: prepare a small backpack for the days at the holy sites; carry valuables in your ihram belt.
  • Cancellation and changes: the conditions are set out on our cancellation and refund page.

Hajj is also a physically demanding act of worship. It is important to start walking regularly a few months before the journey and to have a medical check-up for any chronic conditions. Confirm the current vaccination requirements with health institutions and in official announcements. Our Hajj guide is a good starting point for general information about Hajj.

In the small backpack you carry during the days at the holy sites, a water bottle, an umbrella for sun protection, a spare ihram towel, wet wipes, personal medication and a pebble pouch are all you need. Heavy suitcases stay at the hotel; only basic necessities for a few days are taken to Mina and Arafat. Because the body loses water quickly in hot weather, drinking water at regular intervals throughout the day, staying in the shade when the sun is at its highest and choosing light meals both protect your health and help you perform your worship more comfortably. Before departure, our guides also give a separate briefing on the signs of heatstroke and the precautions to take.

Differences Between Private Hajj and Hajj via the Diyanet Lottery

One of the questions prospective pilgrims ask most often is the difference between private Hajj and Diyanet’s own organisation. The distinction between the two models lies not in the value of the worship but in the structure of the organisation. The table shows the differences in broad terms; the exact requirements for each year are set by official announcements.

TopicDiyanet organisationPrivate Hajj organisation
Run byDiyanet (Presidency of Religious Affairs)Agencies authorised to organise Hajj
Registration and participationAccording to the procedure announced by DiyanetWithin the procedures and principles announced by Diyanet
FeeAnnounced each year by DiyanetSet by the agency according to the package class
AccommodationHotels chosen by the organisationDifferent hotel and room options depending on the package class
Group structureUsually large groupsSmaller groups possible depending on the package type

For detailed information on the registration process for Diyanet’s organisation, see our Hajj via the Diyanet lottery page. Whichever model you choose, the essence of preparation is the same: having your health checked, learning the rites, settling your debts and any rights owed to others, and setting off with peace of mind.

What Should You Look For When Choosing a Private Hajj Organiser?

Private Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime journey that requires a significant budget. That is why you should not rush when choosing the company that will handle the organisation. The following checklist will help you make the right decision:

  • Authorisation: verify the company’s authorisation to organise Hajj through official sources.
  • Written scope: hotel, room layout, tent category, transport and meal details should be written into the contract.
  • Realistic promises: do not trust offers that present the visa, registration or right to participate as if already confirmed.
  • Guidance: ask about the experience of the religious guide who will travel with the group.
  • Accessibility: there should be a support line you can reach before and during the journey.

The best organisation is not simply the most comfortable one; it is the one that is open with you, bound by the official framework and reachable throughout the journey. Before deciding, we recommend comparing the packages and asking your questions in writing.

Regulations and Current Announcements

In Türkiye, Hajj organisations are run under the authority of Diyanet and within the framework of the relevant legislation. Private Hajj programmes are likewise organised by agencies authorised to organise Hajj, in compliance with these rules. Registration, renewal, order of participation, age and health conditions, and document submission dates may be set anew each year; relying on the previous year’s information can be misleading.

For this reason, we recommend that you disregard phrases you may come across online such as “no conditions” or “outcome known in advance”. At RotaNur, we keep our prospective pilgrims informed during official announcement periods and review the current conditions together with them. The final word always lies with the official statements of Diyanet.

Spiritual Preparation for Hajj and Women Pilgrims

Hajj is not merely a journey; it is an act of worship in which a person reviews their life, seeks to settle any rights owed to others and turns to their Lord. Paying off debts, making peace with those one has fallen out with and leaving the necessary wishes with the family before setting off is a long-standing tradition. Being patient in the crowds, not hurting anyone and avoiding arguments are also part of the etiquette of ihram.

Women pilgrims can perform Hajj in full; for women, ihram is their normal modest clothing. During menstruation, Tawaf al-Ifadah is postponed until after purification. Because the companion and participation conditions for women applicants are set each year by official announcements, we recommend confirming this at the registration stage. Our guides treat these sensitive matters with due care.
