Editorial Policy

RotaNur publishes pages about umrah, hajj and culture tours, preparation guides and blog articles. This page explains who prepares this content, which sources we rely on, how we keep it up to date and how we correct mistakes. Our aim is that what you read before setting out is accurate, current and practical.

Who prepares our content?

RotaNur is a brand of Markention Dijital Pazarlama San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.; company details are on our About Us page. The guides on our blog are prepared by our editor Cihat Murat Yüksel. Tour, guide and company pages are written by the RotaNur team and published under our editor’s responsibility.

Blog articles show the author’s name with the publication and update dates. The note at the end of our pages also shows who prepared the page, the editor and the date of the last update.

Our sources on religious matters

For the steps of umrah and hajj, supplications and questions of Islamic law, we follow the sources of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye (Diyanet). We do not present our own interpretation as a ruling.

  • Where schools of law hold different views, we say so and state which view we are reporting, for example “according to the Hanafi school”.
  • We make it a rule not to publish a ruling, narration or attribution we cannot source. When we find a statement whose source cannot be verified, we correct the text or remove it.
  • For personal circumstances such as health, special conditions or the travel requirements for women, we recommend checking Diyanet’s current guidance and consulting a religious official.

Prices, dates and programme details

Departure dates, departure cities and per-person prices on tour pages are not typed in by hand; they come from our tour data and update on the page when the data changes. The booking calendar only offers dates shown in the table. Where a price has not yet been announced, the figure shown is labelled “estimated”. The final price is confirmed by our advisor together with the programme and availability.

Official rules on visas, passports and health change from time to time. We base this information on the practice of the relevant official authority and say so where a rule may change. Please confirm the latest situation with our advisor before you travel.

Updates and corrections

We review our pages when the season changes, when a programme or rule changes and whenever an error is reported to us. When we make a correction, the page’s update date changes as well.

If you see information that is wrong, incomplete or out of date, please write to info@rotanur.com, mentioning the page and the sentence. We review every report and correct the text where needed.

Images

When we use an image created by someone else, we credit its author, licence and source under the image (for example “Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA”). Images of the holy sites are chosen and framed with respect.

Reviews and ratings

Product and tour pages show ratings calculated only from approved, genuine customer reviews. We do not publish fixed ratings taken from other platforms or unverified reviews.

Advertising and sponsored content

Google ads may be shown on our site. Ad spaces are separate from our content and labelled “Advertisements”; advertisers have no influence on what we write. No ads are shown on transaction pages such as checkout, cart and account.

At the end of some of our Turkish blog articles there is a promotional space labelled “Sponsorlu” (sponsored) for markention, the agency that develops this site. It is not part of the article and does not affect its content. Advertising cookies and your choices are explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy.

Language and tone

We are aware that we are writing about a spiritual journey. We avoid exaggerated promises, language that creates fear or urgency, and marketing terms such as “VIP” that do not suit a religious context; our top-tier packages are called “Premium”. We aim to write clearly enough for someone travelling for the first time.
