In the days when thousands of tents in Mina look alike and the roads to Arafat and the Jamarat are packed with crowds, getting separated from your group is easier than you might think. A Hajj card holder lets you carry your group card and contact details on your chest, where they are visible and protected. The RotaNur Hajj ID Card Holder & Lanyard Set of 2 consists of two zippered card holders with clear fronts, two lanyards and info cards that you fill in by hand. It is designed for you to use together with your spouse or with a relative you are accompanying.

About the Product

The card holders have a clear, flexible PVC front and a durable fabric back. The zip along the top edge stops the card from slipping out and getting lost in the crowd, and the extra pocket on the back can be used for small notes and a little cash. The lanyards are made of soft-textured tape and have a safety clasp that opens under a sudden pull. The info cards come blank. The card holder does not replace the cards issued by your group or by official bodies; it is used to protect those cards and carry them where they can be seen.

Key Features

  • 2 zippered card holders with a clear front
  • 2 soft lanyards with safety clasps
  • Fillable info cards: name, group, hotel, tent, phone
  • Extra pocket on the back for notes and small documents
  • Lightweight, splash-resistant design
  • Set of two for couples and for travelling with a companion

How to Use

  1. Write your name, your group’s name, your hotel and tent details and your guide’s phone number legibly on the info card.
  2. Place your group card in the clear front compartment and the info card in the back pocket.
  3. Close the zip and attach the card holder to the hook of the lanyard.
  4. Wear the lanyard so that the card holder sits visibly at chest level.
  5. Add your own phone number to the info card of any elderly relative travelling with you.

Using It on Your Umrah and Hajj Journey

An Umrah or Hajj journey means long walks to and around the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi), dense crowds and, very often, a hot climate. When every item you take with you is light, practical and durable, it is easier to focus on your worship. As applying scent is prohibited while in ihram, remember to choose unscented care products. For a complete packing list, take a look at our Umrah Guide and our Hajj Guide.

Who Is It For?

It is suitable for those going on Hajj with elderly parents, those preparing for Hajj together with their spouse, anyone who worries about getting lost in the crowds and anyone who wants to protect their group card. It offers the same practicality on Umrah journeys, on family trips with children and on group outings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the card issued by my group fit in this holder?

The card compartment is designed for the size of a standard ID card. You can use the back pocket for cards of other sizes and for notes.

Do the info cards come filled in?

No. The info cards are blank; you write in your name and your group, hotel and tent details yourself.

What is the safety clasp for?

If the lanyard catches on something and there is a sudden pull on your neck, the clasp opens; this stops the lanyard from pressing on your neck in the crowd.

Does this card holder replace official cards?

No. The card holder is used to protect the cards issued by your group or by official bodies and to carry them where they can be seen; it does not replace them.
