The Haram Shoe Bag is a tidy way to keep your shoes or slippers with you at the entrances of the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi). With its water-resistant fabric, drawstring opening and backpack straps, it leaves your hands free.
About the Product
Shoes are taken off and placed on racks when entering the Haram. On busy days, the racks fill up, the gate number is forgotten or people leave through a different gate, all of which can make finding your shoes difficult. That is why many visitors prefer to carry their shoes with them in a bag. The RotaNur Haram Shoe Bag was designed for exactly this habit. Its water-resistant polyester outer fabric and coated inner surface help stop dirt from wet or dusty soles spreading. The drawstring opening closes in a single pull, and the cords also serve as backpack straps. The small zipped front pocket is handy for your hotel key card, keys or prayer beads (tasbih). By putting your name and phone card in the clear pocket on the side, you can easily tell your bag apart within your group. When empty, it folds small enough to fit in your pocket.

Use on Your Umrah and Hajj Journey
An Umrah or Hajj journey means long walks to and around the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque, dense crowds and, more often than not, a hot climate. When everything you take with you is light, practical and durable, it is easier to stay focused on your worship. Since applying fragrance is prohibited while in ihram, remember to choose unscented personal care products. For a complete packing list, have a look at our Umrah Guide and Hajj Guide.
Who Is It For?
A practical essential for all our customers travelling for Umrah and Hajj. It is especially suitable for those who enter and leave through different gates at busy times, those who prefer not to leave their shoes on the racks and those who want to keep their belongings together while moving with a group. You can use it just as easily at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, at other mosques in the city and, once back home, at your local mosque. Used together with our tawaf socks, it makes entering and leaving the Haram much more organised. It is also a practical gift; you can confidently add it to the checklist of loved ones going on Umrah.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my shoes fit in the bag?
The 30 × 40 cm size is enough for a pair of men’s sandals or everyday shoes, or two pairs of tawaf socks. Very bulky boots and trainers may be a tight fit.
Does the bag let water through?
The outer fabric is water-resistant and the inner surface is coated, so most of the moisture from wet soles stays inside. However, it is not a fully waterproof bag.
Can I enter the Haram with the bag?
It is common practice for visitors to carry their shoes with them in a bag. We recommend following any on-the-spot directions from the staff at the gates.
Is it washable?
It can be hand-washed in lukewarm soapy water. To protect the coating, do not machine wash it, and dry it in the shade.
Can I put things other than shoes in the bag?
The bag is designed mainly for shoes. You can put small items such as your hotel key card and keys in the zipped front pocket; however, we recommend not carrying items such as books or food in the same compartment as your shoes.
