Ajwa dates are one of the best-loved treats to serve your guests with tea or coffee on your return from Umrah. The 500-gram gift box adds an elegant touch to your table.
About the Product
Ajwa is a date variety known for its dark brown to almost black colour, soft texture and balanced sweetness, and it is closely associated with the Madinah region. Offering dates to guests in the home of those returning from Umrah is a deep-rooted tradition. This product consists of dates packed by a registered food business and labelled in accordance with food regulations, presented in a lidded gift carton box. Information on origin, batch number, use-by date and storage conditions is given on the package label. The dates contain stones. The product is shipped in its original packaging with the lid unopened; before serving, simply transfer the dates to a plate or date dish. The gift box has a simple, elegant design that can go straight on the table, with the RotaNur label on its lid.

Use on Your Umrah and Hajj Journey
An Umrah or Hajj journey means long walks at the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi), dense crowds and, very often, a hot climate. When everything you take with you is light, practical and durable, it is easier to focus on your worship. As applying fragrance is forbidden while in ihram, remember to choose unscented care products. For a complete packing list, take a look at our Umrah Guide and Hajj Guide.
Who Is It For?
Suitable for families who will be hosting guests after Umrah, those organising welcome and mawlid gatherings, and anyone who wants to send a food gift to loved ones. If you would like to offer the dates together with a lasting gift, the Prayer Cap, Prayer Beads and Miswak Gift Set or the Rose-Scented Prayer Beads pack in this category makes a good match. If you are planning your Umrah journey, take a look at our Umrah tours. It is also a fitting treat for iftar tables during Ramadan and for Eid visits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do the dates come from?
Origin information is given on the supplier’s package label. The product is sourced, labelled and packaged, from a registered food business.
How many dates are in the box?
It varies with the size of the dates, but a 500-gram box usually contains 40–60 dates.
Can an opened box be returned?
As this is a food product, returns are only possible for products with unopened packaging, within 14 days of delivery. For details, see our cancellation and returns policy page.
Can I divide the dates into small packs?
For hygiene reasons, we recommend transferring the dates to a plate at the time of serving and not putting loose dates into gift pouches. If you need individually packed products, write to us and we will look at suitable options together.
Do you also ship Zamzam water?
No. RotaNur does not sell Zamzam water. Saudi Arabia does not permit the sale of Zamzam water for commercial purposes, and there have been cases of counterfeit Zamzam water on the market.
How long can the dates be kept?
How long they keep depends on the use-by date on the package label. We recommend storing the unopened box in a cool, dry place and keeping opened dates in a closed container in the fridge.
Can I send it as a gift to another address?
Yes. When ordering, you can enter the recipient’s address as the delivery address. As it is a food product, please make sure the recipient can take delivery promptly.
