The departure point for our Umrah tours from Denizli is Denizli Çardak Airport (DNZ). When Umrah prices are calculated, the most decisive item is the hotel’s distance from the Kaaba. The duration of the programme and the flight plan are the final factors. Short programmes are budget-friendly for working people with limited annual leave, while longer programmes are ideal for those who wish to devote more time to worship. Umrah is an act of worship that can be performed for most of the year, outside the Hajj period. In the 2026-2027 season, our first group from Denizli sets off in October 2026, and dates continue until March 2027. Temperatures start to fall as autumn progresses; in the first weeks of the season, the crowds are relatively small and prices are favourable. The mid-term break in November (16-20 November 2026) is the first busy period and a popular choice for families with children.

Ramadan Umrah is the most precious period of all, when fasts and tarawih prayers are performed at the Haram and Laylat al-Qadr is revived in worship; this is why places fill up early. Preparation for Umrah should begin a few weeks before you set off. The first step is your passport: it must be valid for at least 6 months from your return date. Health preparation is just as important as your documents. Umrah involves long periods of walking during tawaf and sa’i; walking regularly in the weeks before the journey will improve your fitness. You can consult your family doctor about the seasonal flu vaccine and current health requirements. The Umrah is completed in four stages: ihram, tawaf, sa’i and shaving or trimming the hair. The first stage is ihram: before reaching the miqat boundary, pilgrims take the full ritual bath (ghusl), men wrap themselves in the two unstitched pieces of ihram cloth, the intention for Umrah is made and the recitation of the talbiyah begins. Once in ihram, pilgrims avoid actions such as applying perfume, cutting their nails and trimming their hair or beard.

The second stage is tawaf. Seven circuits are walked with the Holy Kaaba on your left, starting from the corner of the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad). At the start of each circuit, the Black Stone is saluted. When tawaf is finished, two rak’ahs of prayer are performed behind the Station of Ibrahim (Maqam Ibrahim), and Zamzam water is drunk. The third stage is sa’i: starting at Safa, seven circuits (shawt) are walked between the hills of Safa and Marwah, made up of four outward walks and three return walks.

In the final stage, men have their hair shaved or shortened, while women cut a fingertip’s length from the ends of their hair; with this, the restrictions of ihram come to an end. In our group, the first Umrah is performed together with our guide, with the supplications recited as a group. Throughout the programme, guests who wish to do so can re-enter ihram at Ji’ranah and Tan’im to perform additional Umrahs. Using a radio headset system, our guides can continue their explanations even in the crowds.

On our packages departing from Denizli, accommodation is planned at different distances and standards depending on the package you choose. On economy packages, guests stay in 3-4 star hotels with a shuttle service 2.5-4 km from the Haram in Makkah, and in hotels within 200-300 metres’ walking distance of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. At our hotels, breakfast and dinner are served as an open buffet; on Ramadan programmes, suhoor and iftar are provided. Rooms are arranged as doubles, triples or quadruples; families can stay in the same room, while guests travelling alone share a room with passengers of the same gender. Hotel names are finalised according to your group’s travel date and shared with you before departure. For Denizli’s large families, requests for rooms next to each other are noted at registration.

On an Umrah journey, small precautions make things much easier. The Haram has dozens of gates; on the first day, learn the gate number your guide shows you and the direction of your hotel. Save your hotel’s location on your phone and join the group’s messaging group. If you set off early for the daily prayers, you will find a place more easily and be able to return without getting caught in the crowds.

As temperatures can rise during the day, keep water with you and choose light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing. Do not rush during tawaf and sa’i; our guides suggest the less crowded times of day for our elderly guests. Keep your passport somewhere safe at the hotel and carry a photocopy with you. For your cash needs, activate your bank card for use abroad before you set off.

Respecting the quiet and cleanliness of the mosques, carrying your shoes in a bag and not squeezing into the prayer rows all help to preserve the atmosphere of worship.
