Short Umrah Tours: 4-Day Umrah Programmes

Short Umrah tours: 4-day Umrah programmes in hotels within walking distance of the Haram, for those who cannot take a long break because of a busy work schedule. Flights, visa, accommodation, transfers and guiding are included.

Short Umrah tours are designed for guests who wish to perform Umrah by combining a few days of leave with a weekend. On our 4-day programmes, accommodation is in 4-5 star or 5-star luxury hotels within walking distance of the Haram, so all of your limited time can be devoted to worship without waiting for a shuttle.

Although the programme is short, all the essential rites of Umrah are performed in full with a guide. Umrah and tawaf in Makkah, and the visit to the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) and the Rawdah in Madinah, form the core of the programme. Flights, visa, transfers and guiding services are included in the price.

In the 2026-2027 season, these programmes run on 17 different dates, departing from Istanbul, with prices starting from 84,500 ₺ per person. You can find all the dates, prices by room type and availability in the table below.

Makkah and Masjid al-Haram
RotaNur 10-day economy Umrah tour to Makkah and Madinah

So that most of the time on a short programme can be devoted to worship, accommodation is in hotels within walking distance of the Haram: 300-500 metres on the walking-distance package and 200-300 metres on the luxury package. You can make it to the daily prayers without waiting for a shuttle and rest at your hotel between prayers.

All the steps of Umrah are performed with a guide; the visit to the Prophet's Mosque and the Rawdah in Madinah is part of the programme. Flights, visa, transfers, and open-buffet breakfast and dinner are included in the price.

Short Umrah Tour Package Comparison

The table below compares our 4-day Umrah packages by duration, key services and starting price per person. Prices are pulled automatically from the product pages.

PackageLengthHighlightsPrice per person
Short Umrah Tour — 4 Days (Walking Distance)4 daysWalking distance to the Haram, 4–5 star hotels, Airport meet & greet105,500 ₺ 84,500 ₺
Luxury Umrah Tour — 4 Days4 daysTurkish Airlines flights, 5-star luxury hotels, 200–300 m from the Haram123,500 ₺ 118,500 ₺

The walking-distance package is a balanced option for those who want to complete a short programme on a reasonable budget. The luxury package, with Turkish Airlines flights and five-star hotels 200-300 metres from the Haram, is aimed at those looking for the highest level of comfort in a short time. If you have more time, you can also take a look at our 7-day Umrah programmes.

When comparing packages, we recommend looking not only at the price but also at the hotel’s distance from the Haram, the meal arrangements, the group size and the type of flight. With the same budget, you can choose a shorter programme closer to the Haram or a longer programme with a shuttle service; you can work out which one suits you best together with our advisor.

Our Short Umrah Tour Packages

A summary of each programme’s duration, dates and price

Who Are Short Umrah Tours Suitable For?

Short Umrah programmes are most often chosen by the following guests: employees with limited annual leave, executives who wish to crown a business trip with worship, those who have performed Umrah before and want to make another short visit to the holy lands, and those who wish to spend a holy night (kandil) or a Friday at the Haram. Short programmes are also a suitable option for parents who cannot be away from home for long.

As the programme moves at a fast pace, short Umrah tours are recommended for guests whose health allows for a lot of walking. For elderly relatives or loved ones who find walking difficult, we advise choosing longer and calmer programmes. On short programmes, the fact that the hotels are close to the Haram considerably reduces this tiredness.

How Does the Programme Work?

A 4-day Umrah programme usually runs as follows: on the first day, you depart from Türkiye and, depending on your arrival point, either check in to your hotel in Makkah or begin the programme with a visit to the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) in Madinah. On programmes that begin in Makkah, the first Umrah is performed with a guide on the same day or the following morning. The second day is spent at the Haram with the daily prayers, voluntary (nafl) tawafs and personal worship.

On the third day, the intercity transfer takes place; in Madinah, prayers are offered at the Prophet’s Mosque, and the Rawdah and Jannat al-Baqi are visited. On the fourth day, after the final acts of worship, you go to the airport and return to Türkiye. On short programmes, visits to the historic sites in Makkah and Madinah are made as far as time allows; our guides always give priority to worship.

How It Differs from Other Programmes

The main difference between a short Umrah and a 7- or 10-day Umrah lies in the intensity of the visit programme and the amount of time for personal worship. On programmes of 7 days or longer, sites such as Jabal al-Nour, Mount Thawr, Arafat, Quba Mosque and Uhud are visited at a relaxed pace, and those who wish can perform additional Umrahs. On a short programme, however, the main goal is to perform Umrah and to pray in the two blessed mosques. In terms of budget, short programmes have an advantage because they involve fewer nights of accommodation; however, as the hotel standard is high, the price difference remains limited.

What Determines Umrah Prices?

When Umrah prices are calculated, the most decisive factor is the hotel’s distance from the Kaaba. On our economy programmes departing from Türkiye, the Makkah hotels are 2.5-4 km from the Haram, and a shuttle runs at every prayer time. This distance falls to 300-500 metres on walking-distance programmes, 200-300 metres on luxury programmes and 50-100 metres on premium programmes. Elderly guests and families with children are far more comfortable in hotels close to the Haram.

Room sharing also has a direct effect on the price per person. A quad room is the most economical option; in triple and double rooms, the price per person rises step by step. Couples who want to travel on their own choose a double room, while large families prefer a quad room. Timing matters as well: the blessed month of Ramadan, the mid-term school holiday and the blessed holy nights (kandil) are the periods of highest demand.

The duration of the programme and the flight plan are the final factors. Short programmes are budget-friendly for working people with limited annual leave, while longer programmes are ideal for those who wish to devote more time to worship. On all dates departing from Türkiye, the route starts in Makkah or Madinah; there are no connections via Istanbul on these dates. You can find up-to-date prices for all dates, set out transparently, in the table on this page.

When Should You Go on Umrah?

Umrah is an act of worship that can be performed for most of the year, outside the Hajj period. In the 2026-2027 season, our first group from Türkiye sets off in October 2026, and dates continue until March 2027. Temperatures start to fall as autumn progresses; in the first weeks of the season, the crowds are relatively small and prices are favourable. The mid-term break in November (16-20 November 2026) is the first busy period and a popular choice for families with children.

Demand rises in December and January as the three sacred months begin. In the 2026-2027 season, Laylat al-Raghaib falls on 10 December 2026, Laylat al-Mi’raj on 4 January 2027 and Laylat al-Bara’ah on 22 January 2027. For guests who wish to be at the Haram on these nights, we organise programmes that cover the dates of the holy nights. The mid-term school holiday runs from 25 January to 5 February 2027 and is the most convenient Umrah period for teachers and students.

The blessed month of Ramadan begins on 8 February 2027, and Eid al-Fitr falls on 9 March 2027. Ramadan Umrah is the most precious time of all, when the fast is kept and tarawih prayers are performed at the Haram, and Laylat al-Qadr is spent in worship; for this reason, places fill up early. The dates departing from Türkiye are spread across the following months: October 2026, November 2026, December 2026, January 2027 and March 2027. To pick the month that suits you, use the month filter in the table.

Accommodation in Makkah and Madinah

On our packages departing from Türkiye, accommodation is planned at different distances and standards depending on the package you choose. On economy packages, guests stay in 3-4 star hotels with a shuttle service 2.5-4 km from the Haram in Makkah, and in hotels within 200-300 metres’ walking distance of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. The Makkah hotels are 300-500 metres from the Haram on walking-distance packages, 200-300 metres on luxury packages and 50-100 metres on premium packages.

At our hotels, breakfast and dinner are served as an open buffet; on Ramadan programmes, suhoor and iftar are provided. Rooms are arranged for 2, 3 or 4 people; families can stay in the same room, while guests travelling alone share a room with passengers of the same gender. Hotel names are confirmed according to the group’s travel date and shared with you before departure. For large families from Türkiye, requests for adjoining rooms are noted at registration.

Preparing for Umrah: Documents and Packing List

Preparation for Umrah should begin a few weeks before departure. The first step is your passport: it must be valid for at least 6 months from your return date. If you do not have a passport, or yours is about to expire, book an appointment at the civil registry office in Türkiye and start the process early. Umrah visa procedures are handled by us after registration; all we need is a clear scan of your passport and a biometric photo with a white background.

Document checklist

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months
  • A biometric photo with a white background
  • A photocopy of your identity card
  • For passengers under 18, a letter of parental consent and a civil registry record
  • If applicable, a doctor’s report and prescriptions for any chronic illness

Packing list

  • For men, at least two sets of ihram garments and an ihram belt
  • For women, loose-fitting, light-coloured modest clothing
  • Comfortable slippers and shoes for long walks
  • Unscented soap, shampoo and deodorant
  • A pocket prayer mat, a pocket-sized Qur’an and a booklet of supplications
  • Sunglasses, an umbrella and a small backpack
  • The medicines you take regularly and basic first-aid supplies
  • A portable charger and a compatible plug adapter

Health preparation is just as important as your documents. Umrah involves walking for long periods during tawaf and sa’i; walking regularly in the weeks before the journey will build up your stamina. You can consult your family doctor about the seasonal flu vaccine and the current health requirements. At the preparation seminar we hold before the group departs, our guides explain the rites of Umrah, the restrictions of ihram and practical information in detail.

How Is Umrah Performed?

Umrah is completed in four stages: ihram, tawaf, sa’i and shaving or trimming the hair. The first stage is ihram: before reaching the miqat boundary, a full ritual bath (ghusl) is taken, men wrap themselves in the two unstitched pieces of ihram cloth, the intention for Umrah is made and the recitation of the talbiyah begins. Once in ihram, pilgrims avoid acts such as wearing perfume, cutting their nails and cutting their hair or beard.

The second stage is tawaf. Keeping the Holy Kaaba on your left, you walk seven circuits, starting from the corner of the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad). At the start of each circuit, the Black Stone is greeted. When tawaf is finished, two rak’ahs are prayed behind the Station of Ibrahim (Maqam Ibrahim), followed by a drink of Zamzam water. The third stage is sa’i: between the hills of Safa and Marwah, starting from Safa, seven circuits (shawt) are walked, four going and three returning.

In the final stage, men have their hair shaved or shortened, while women cut a fingertip’s length from the ends of their hair; with this, the restrictions of ihram come to an end. In our group, the first Umrah is performed alongside our guide, with the supplications recited together. Throughout the programme, guests who wish to can enter ihram again from Ji’ranah and Tan’im to perform additional Umrahs. Our guides use a radio headset system, so they can keep explaining even in the crowds.

Things to Keep in Mind During Umrah

A few practical points will help the days you spend in the blessed lands pass peacefully. The Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque cover very large areas; to avoid getting separated from your group, be sure to note the meeting gate and time set by your guide. Always carry your hotel card and your guide’s phone number with you. Setting off early before prayer times helps you find a comfortable place in the crowds.

In Saudi Arabia, the weather can be hot, especially around midday; drink plenty of water and Zamzam, and use an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun. To avoid tiring your feet on long walks, take rest breaks at the hotel during the day. Keep your valuables in the hotel safe and carry your bag in front of you in crowded areas. Check the price tags when shopping; leaving your shopping for dates (the fruit), Zamzam and souvenirs until the last days of the programme makes your baggage easier to manage.

Taking care not to disturb others during worship, and not to disrupt the peace of worshippers when taking photos, is part of the etiquette of Umrah. There are separate prayer areas for our female guests at the Haram; our guides show these areas on the first day. If you experience any health problem, simply let your guide know; the necessary guidance is provided under your travel health insurance.

Places to Visit in Makkah and Madinah

Every day spent in the holy lands is enriched by visits that combine worship with a knowledge of history. In Makkah, Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira, Mount Thawr, Jabal al-Rahmah at Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina are visited with explanations from a guide. At Jannat al-Mu’alla, the grave of our mother Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) is visited, and the place of these sites in the life of the Prophet (sirah) is explained in detail.

In Madinah, our days are spent with the daily prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque and the visit to the Rawdah. At Quba Mosque, the hadiths on the virtue of praying two rak’ahs there are recalled; Masjid al-Qiblatayn, the Seven Mosques, Mount Uhud and the Uhud martyrs’ cemetery, where the grave of Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him) is located, are visited. At Jannat al-Baqi, supplications are made at the graves of the Prophet’s family (Ahl al-Bayt) and the Companions. Free time is also set aside for the date palm orchards and for shopping.

Short Umrah Tour Prices 2026-2027

Our Short Umrah Tour prices start from 84,500 ₺ per person. As short programmes involve fewer nights of accommodation, the total cost is advantageous; however, since the hotels are close to the Haram, the price difference compared with longer programmes remains limited. Current starting prices per person by package:

Detailed prices by date and room type are shown in the date table at the top of the page. For dates whose price has not yet been announced, the amount shown is marked as “estimated”.
