Extended Umrah Tours: 20, 23 and 33-Day Programmes

Extended Umrah tours: 20-day and 23-day programmes, plus the 33-day Full Ramadan Umrah covering the whole of Ramadan. A calm pace and a low cost per night, with flights, visa, accommodation and guiding included.

Extended Umrah tours are designed for guests who wish to stay for weeks at the Haram and the Prophet's Mosque and devote plenty of time to worship. Alongside our 20-day and 23-day programmes, the 33-day Full Ramadan Umrah, which covers the whole of the blessed month of Ramadan, also belongs to this group.

On long programmes, the cost per day is lower than on short programmes. With the economy accommodation model, guests stay in hotels with a shuttle service in Makkah and in hotels within walking distance in Madinah. Flights, visa, transfers, guiding and insurance are included in the price.

In the 2026-2027 season, these programmes run on 39 different dates, departing from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Denizli, Eskişehir, Gazipaşa, Konya, Kütahya, Samsun and other cities, and prices start from 95,500 ₺ per person. You can find all the dates, prices by room type and availability in the table below.

On long programmes, guests stay in 3-4 star hotels with a shuttle service 2.5-4 km from the Haram in Makkah, and in hotels within 200-300 metres' walking distance of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. This accommodation model keeps the cost per night low on a journey lasting several weeks.

An open-buffet breakfast and dinner are served at the hotel, with suhoor and iftar on the Ramadan programme. Because the daily pace is calm, our retired and elderly guests can perform their worship without rushing.

Those who want to spend the whole of Ramadan in the holy lands choose the 33-day Full Ramadan Umrah, while those who want a long stay outside Ramadan choose the 20-day or 23-day programmes. For shorter programmes covering part of Ramadan, you can visit our Ramadan Umrah page.

When comparing packages, we recommend looking not only at the price but also at the hotel’s distance from the Haram, the meal arrangements, the group size and the type of flight. With the same budget, you can choose either a shorter programme closer to the Haram or a longer programme with a shuttle service; you can work out together with our advisor which one suits you best.

Our Extended Umrah Tour Packages

A summary of the programmes’ durations, dates and prices

Who Are Extended Umrah Tours Suitable For?

Extended Umrah programmes are especially popular with our retired guests, employees who can take long leave, and those who wish to observe i’tikaf (spiritual retreat) in the holy lands. For our elderly guests, a long programme has the advantage of a calm daily pace, with fatigue spread across the day; acts of worship are performed without rushing, with time to rest.

The Full Ramadan Umrah, meanwhile, is for those who wish to spend the month of Ramadan from beginning to end in Makkah and Madinah, pray tarawih at the Haram and spend Laylat al-Qadr in worship in the holy lands. Places on this programme are the first to fill up each season; we recommend pre-registering before the final price is announced.

How Does the Programme Work?

On long programmes, stays of more than a week each are planned in Makkah and in Madinah. The Umrah and the visits to historic sites are completed in the first days; the following days are spent with the daily prayers, voluntary tawafs, recitation of the Qur’an and religious talks. Additional Umrahs from the miqats of Ji’ranah and Tan’im are organised for guests who wish to perform them. In Madinah, it is possible to perform forty consecutive prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.

On the Full Ramadan programme, fasts are broken at the Haram, and open-buffet suhoor and iftar are served at the hotels. In the last ten days of Ramadan, the opportunity for i’tikaf and the Laylat al-Qadr programme are planned by our guides. After the Eid prayer, Eid greetings are exchanged and the group returns to Türkiye.

How It Differs from Other Programmes

The difference between an extended Umrah and 10-15 day programmes is not only the duration. Because the daily pace is much calmer on long programmes, the time devoted to worship increases many times over, fatigue is reduced and a steady routine takes shape in the holy lands. Although the total cost is higher, the cost per night is lower. For our retired and elderly guests, long programmes often offer a more comfortable experience than short, intensive ones.

What Determines Umrah Prices?

When Umrah prices are calculated, the most decisive factor is the hotel’s distance from the Kaaba. On our economy programmes departing from Türkiye, the Makkah hotels are 2.5-4 km from the Haram, and a shuttle runs at every prayer time. This distance falls to 300-500 metres on walking-distance programmes, 200-300 metres on luxury programmes and 50-100 metres on premium programmes. Elderly guests and families with children are far more comfortable in hotels close to the Haram.

Room sharing also has a direct effect on the price per person. A quadruple room is the most economical option; in triple and double rooms, the price per person rises step by step. Couples who want to travel on their own usually choose a double room, while large families prefer a quadruple room. Timing matters as well: the blessed month of Ramadan, the mid-term school holiday and the blessed holy nights (kandil) are the periods of highest demand.

The length of the programme and the flight plan are the final factors. Short programmes are budget-friendly for working people with limited annual leave, while longer programmes are ideal for those who want to devote more time to worship. Guests living in Türkiye fly direct on some dates and with a connection in Istanbul on others; connecting flights are included in the package price. You can find up-to-date prices for every date, set out transparently, in the table on this page.

When Should You Go on Umrah?

Umrah is an act of worship that can be performed for most of the year, outside the Hajj period. In the 2026-2027 season, our first group from Türkiye sets off in September 2026, and dates continue until February 2027. Temperatures start to fall as autumn progresses; in the first weeks of the season, the crowds are relatively small and prices are favourable. The mid-term break in November (16-20 November 2026) is the first busy period and a popular choice for families with children.

Demand rises in December and January as the three sacred months (Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan) begin. In the 2026-2027 season, Laylat al-Raghaib falls on 10 December 2026, Laylat al-Mi’raj on 4 January 2027 and Laylat al-Bara’ah on 22 January 2027. For guests who wish to be at the Haram on these nights, we organise programmes that cover the dates of the holy nights. The mid-term school holiday runs from 25 January to 5 February 2027 and is the most convenient Umrah period for teachers and students.

The blessed month of Ramadan begins on 8 February 2027, and Eid al-Fitr falls on 9 March 2027. Ramadan Umrah is the most precious time of all, when the fast is kept and tarawih prayers are performed at the Haram, and Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) is spent in worship; for this reason, places fill up early. The dates departing from Türkiye are spread across the following months: September 2026, October 2026, December 2026, January 2027 and February 2027. To pick the month that suits you, use the month filter in the table.

Accommodation in Makkah and Madinah

On our packages departing from Türkiye, accommodation is planned at different distances and standards depending on the package you choose. On economy packages, guests stay in 3-4 star hotels with a shuttle service 2.5-4 km from the Haram in Makkah, and in hotels within 200-300 metres’ walking distance of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. The Makkah hotels are 300-500 metres from the Haram on walking-distance packages, 200-300 metres on luxury packages and 50-100 metres on premium packages.

At our hotels, breakfast and dinner are served as an open buffet; on Ramadan programmes, suhoor and iftar are provided. Rooms are arranged as doubles, triples or quadruples; families can stay in the same room, while guests travelling alone share a room with passengers of the same gender. Hotel names are confirmed according to the group’s travel date and shared with you before departure. For large families from Türkiye, requests for rooms next to each other are noted at registration.

Preparing for Umrah: Documents and Packing List

Preparation for Umrah should begin a few weeks before departure. The first step is your passport: it must be valid for at least 6 months from your return date. If you do not have a passport, or yours is about to expire, book an appointment at a civil registry office in Türkiye and start the process early. Umrah visa procedures are handled by us after registration; all we need is a clear scan of your passport and a biometric photo with a white background.

Document checklist

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months
  • A biometric photo with a white background
  • A photocopy of your identity card
  • For passengers under 18, a letter of parental consent and a civil registry record
  • If applicable, a doctor’s report and prescriptions for any chronic illness

Packing list

  • For men, at least two sets of ihram garments and an ihram belt
  • For women, loose-fitting, light-coloured modest clothing
  • Comfortable slippers and shoes for long walks
  • Unscented soap, shampoo and deodorant
  • A pocket prayer mat, a pocket-sized Qur’an and a booklet of supplications
  • Sunglasses, an umbrella and a small backpack
  • The medicines you take regularly and basic first-aid supplies
  • A portable charger and a compatible plug adapter

Health preparation is just as important as your documents. Umrah involves walking for long periods during tawaf and sa’i; walking regularly in the weeks before the journey will build up your stamina. You can consult your family doctor about the seasonal flu vaccine and the current health requirements. At the preparation seminar we hold before the group departs, our guides explain the rites of Umrah, the restrictions of ihram and practical information in detail.

How Is Umrah Performed?

Umrah is completed in four stages: ihram, tawaf, sa’i and shaving or trimming the hair. The first stage is ihram: before reaching the miqat boundary, a full ritual bath (ghusl) is taken, men wrap themselves in the two unstitched pieces of ihram cloth, the intention for Umrah is made and the recitation of the talbiyah begins. Once in ihram, pilgrims avoid acts such as wearing perfume, cutting their nails and cutting their hair or beard.

The second stage is tawaf. Keeping the Holy Kaaba on your left, you walk seven circuits, starting from the corner of the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad). At the start of each circuit, the Black Stone is greeted. When tawaf is finished, two rak’ahs are prayed behind the Station of Ibrahim (Maqam Ibrahim), followed by a drink of Zamzam water. The third stage is sa’i: between the hills of Safa and Marwah, starting from Safa, seven circuits (shawt) are walked, four going and three returning.

In the final stage, men have their hair shaved or shortened, while women cut a fingertip’s length from the ends of their hair; with this, the restrictions of ihram come to an end. In our group, the first Umrah is performed alongside our guide, with the supplications recited together. Throughout the programme, guests who wish to can enter ihram again from Ji’ranah and Tan’im to perform additional Umrahs. Our guides use a radio headset system, so they can keep explaining even in the crowds.

Things to Keep in Mind During Umrah

To make the days you spend in the blessed lands peaceful, there are a few practical points to keep in mind. The Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque cover very large areas; so that you do not become separated from your group, be sure to note the meeting gate and time set by your guide. Always carry your hotel card and your guide’s phone number with you. Leaving early before prayer times helps you find a comfortable place in the crowds.

In Saudi Arabia, the weather can be hot, especially around midday; drink plenty of water and Zamzam, and use an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun. To avoid tiring your feet on long walks, take rest breaks at the hotel during the day. Keep your valuables in the hotel safe, and carry your bag in front of you in crowded areas. Check the price tags when shopping; leaving your shopping for dates, Zamzam water and souvenirs until the last days of the programme makes things easier on your luggage.

Taking care not to disturb others during worship, and not to disturb the peace of worshippers when taking photos, is part of the etiquette of Umrah. There are separate prayer areas for our female guests at the Haram; our guides show them these areas on the first day. If you have any health problem, simply let your guide know; you will be referred for the necessary care under your travel health insurance.

Places to Visit in Makkah and Madinah

Every day spent in the holy lands is enriched by visits that combine worship with a knowledge of history. In Makkah, Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira, Mount Thawr, Jabal al-Rahmah (the Mount of Mercy) at Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina are visited, with explanations from our guide. At Jannat al-Mu’alla, the grave of our mother Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) is visited, and the place of these sites in the life of the Prophet (sirah) is explained in detail.

In Madinah, our days are spent with the daily prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque and a visit to the Rawdah. At Quba Mosque, the hadiths on the virtue of praying two rak’ahs there are recalled; Masjid al-Qiblatayn, the Seven Mosques, Mount Uhud and the Uhud martyrs’ cemetery, where the grave of Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) lies, are also visited. At Jannat al-Baqi, supplications are made at the graves of the Prophet’s family (Ahl al-Bayt) and the Companions. Free time is also set aside for the date orchards and for shopping.
